    7/10/2019 Status Update

The plan was to leave later this week on our road trip but plans change. The RV is now back at the dealership for the Inline water heater and also the refrigerator. It seems that the refrigerator has stopped switching to AC when the RV is plugged in so since they wanted to take the RV back to the dealership for the water heater work we're having them take a look at the refrigerator too along with a couple of other very minor issues.

We were going to make some reservations in the SD black hills area for mid Aug through Labor Day but decided to hold off until we have the RV back. In the mean time we can keep planning our trip there. We were hoping to take our time and spend a few weeks getting there but that will now depend on getting the RV back when expected. That should be late this week and with some luck and God's grace we now hope to set out on our adventure this weekend or Monday, July 15'th.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what He has in store for us but that's always been true. In Sunday's message at Church we were reminded to have faith -- not fear, but it is hard sometimes to not fear the unknown. He is sending us out on this grand adventure and I don't have a clue what he has planned for us out there so it's a little scary. Most of the time it's harder for me to walk the walk than talk the talk and I'm not always successful. When bad things happen I want to know why and when things are good I worry that it is too good to be true. And when he sends me out without me knowing what he has in store I know that sometimes we have to go through rough times and that worries me even more in fairly good times like now. Fortunately for me He's always there to pick me up when I fall, forgive me when I fail, and just as important to me - He's there to listen anytime I need or just want to talk. I have to admit that it is pretty awesome having God as your best friend and mentor. I'm still a work in progress and far from perfect but somehow that doesn't matter to him. It just makes me sad that there are so many who won't give Him a chance to help them like he helps me.
