Our Mr Heater Portable Buddy Heater in the RV

The buddy heaters are safe for indoor use. We have also used our buddy heater 3 winters in a row with no problems and far better heating than our factory furnace and I have used it right in front of our CO detector never ever a problem. Leave a window open a crack to let air in. Yes, they release condensation but that's what happened with any indoor propane heat, find a way to control the condensation and no problem. I highly recommend the buddy heater.

We have a large dehumidifier running 24/7 and collecting about one gallon of water a day. but would rather be warm and electric heat here at our location is not an option so propane heat is our main heat. We use the furnace while we sleep and run the Buddy Heater while we are awake and at home. Cut our propane bill quite a bit using the Buddy.

The buddy is infrared heat. meaning it heats the objects the objects once heated heat the air in the room. Most other heaters heat the air in the room then the air heats the objects, a very slow and inefficient way of heating. The nice thing about the buddy heater is once the objects are heated the heater can be turned off and the heat lasts much longer by slowly releasing that heat into the room as you sleep. We will never get rid of our Buddy Heater. It also works outside in the dining tent too, again because it is infrared heat it heats you first not the air making it perfect outside in the cold winter too. We also have large USB fans that circulate that heat throughout our 26' RV. No need for the furnace that uses a ton of propane. The Buddy sips the propane in comparison to our furnace.

SAFE FOR INDOOR? yes, it is. use caution as you would with a wood stove or heater

We use a 20lb tank outside the window rather than the one pound tanks. The one pound tanks only last about 4 hours, not long enough to last all night.

When using propane as your heat source you need ventilation and a plan for removing humidity. We keep one window cracked open near the Buddy Heater and the roof vent open to release the moisture out the top of the RV. We also have USB fans to circulate the air, they are placed blowing at the windows and on the ceiling to direct ceiling heat into the bedroom of the RV. The colder air runs along the floor back to the Buddy Heater naturally.
