If you cannot afford new solar panels (warning, left wing polit

  • I've been running around this like a rat trying to get the cheese out of the trap.

I am not wealthy, but I have ambitious solar goals. Yet, to accomplish these goals, the average user pays someone retail plus 20 percent, and have another install everything.

I have no money for such foolishness.

I was all set to pull the trigger on a set of Chinese panels from Longi (which I think are the best in the world) and Trump did his stupid, fucking bullshit tariff on panels. Trump is NOT MY PRESIDENT!!!

With China on the bench, I started looking around for panels. Well kids, I gotta tell you, Craigslist can be your friend if you know what you need to know about solar panels.

For example, I found brand new Longi, 300W monocrystalline panels for $110 each out in the Socal desert. Check it out...

Yes, kids, that's 1.2KW of panels for less than $500. See if some installer will let the panels go for that, good luck.

If you're willing to go the DIY route and the legwork to learn what you need to know, you can save a shit-ton of money, get as good or BETTER a system as your neighbor (not that that matters) and the knowledge you saved a lot of money by doing things yourself.

I really like the idea of being my own electrical utility, and setting it up myself will give me a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I know not everyone is as willing to tackle the project themselves, but I have no options. Fixed income = OM is a cheap bastard, but he can do things.

Anyone can feel free to ask me about all this shit, just drop me a PM.

P.S. I do not know their shipping costs because I'll make a road trip (in my truck) to drive down. It'll give me a chance to check out a few boondocking spots along the way.
