CDR Warren: Where is spring??? Looks like it will be snowing in central NY tomorrow when we head south to Richmond for the race. This weather is getting old. Should be 61 and cloudy when we get to the track tomorrow night...I’ll take it.

My guess was, that the people who work food places had to go back to work or school on Monday. You would have had to wait an hour in line to buy a hot dog, etc. less

Since moving to Upstate NY we had to give up on Martinsville. We were season holders for years but the spring race is too early and the fall race too late in the year to get the motorhome ready to go. I miss Martinsville.

It was SO cold on Monday at Bristol when they finally finished that race 37 degrees and bouts of rain and snow! But they got’er done!

CDR Warren: Finally no snow on the motorhome. Dewinterized it today and keeping my fingers crossed that it won’t go too far below freezing. Heater is on and hoping for the best. Heading south in 5 days for Richmond Raceway (I still want to call it RIR).
Lpack: Any camping suggestions near Richmond Speedway for 4/21-22 during NASCAR race?

We camp in Lot J for both races. We have site 6 and 7 is up for grabs. If 7 is still available you won’t be disappointed. It backs up to the woods. Good luck.

RIR camping fills up quick. If ur towing or have a way to drive to the track we like the Richmond North KOA next to Kings Dominion (I-95 Exit 98). There is also an Americamps at Exit 89. Enjoy the race...we love RIR (RR)

Now we live in upstate NY and the races are too early or late in the year for our weather. Still way too cold and snowy to dewinterized. We will kick off the year at Richmond next month. I did get tickets for a bucket list item. Pocono was able to get me trackside for a race this summer. Can’t wait to see and hear the cars fly past my windshield. My hopes are high.

Alot of people gave up the seasonal tickets that they had for years because they went from 500.00 to 1500.00 , they added Electric and Water. Thats why tickets are available, enjoy...

Not yet. They are calling for snow to start Saturday afternoon and snow til 6:00 AM on Sunday. The race will happen on Sunday. The staff have developing plans for cleaning the track and stands.
