SouthParkSteve There is a cold front coming through on Sunday that should bring some rain to the area.  Hopefully that will help with this one.

      • SouthParkSteve
SouthParkSteve Yes--the road is now open.  From looking at the traffic cams on www.cotrip.org, it does look like they still have smoke along the highway in the immediate Durango area, but no visibility issues on the road itself.  The scenery may not be as good...  more

Curt & Isabel They say that 4 or 5 agencies worked non-stop clearing the road. 100 yards wide and over 5' deep.
    • Curt & Isabel
Gone_Feral (was LPS) Yay Caltrans! They really are good at clearing rock, mud, snow, and everything else that can possibly clog up a road. Give em a smile and a wave when you pass em on the road!

High winds on I 80 on the border of Nevada/Utah. We made the decision to stay a couple extra days to avoid traveling with the wind. We've lost half our roof sitting in the CG. Thankful we weren't on the road. Be careful driving today.
