August 3Still haven’t really figured out how to use rvillage. For some reason feels hard to follow and kinda slow. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.

Kim & Jess August 4 I find it works good, loads fine. But then I am using an android phone and a windows pc, so I don't know what to say. Find groups that you like (or start one) and connect with members there. The location features only work if everyone update...  more

Tink & Chuck August 4 I have to agree with Kim and Jess. I am not having any problems but I'm using an android. Talk to the admin. about it. Also look to find a group that matches your interests and get plugged in. That is one way to start meeting people. The other is to ei...  more

OurMobileBackPack August 4 When my cell signal is weak RVillage is painfully slow it is faster on my iPhone than it is on my iPad.

InkedGypsy August 4 Even now...took 20 seconds to load notifications...gives me anxiety.

Andy F August 4 As a software developer I concur with the previous sentiments. The concept is great but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. Very bloated and slow. Hopefully the owners/stakeholders of this site are paying attention.

Andy F August 4 For example, I just downloaded the source code for this very web page and it weighed in at a whopping 2.5MB. Totally unacceptable. Even a big site like Amazon.com is roughly 40% lighter.
      • InkedGypsy
Noble Wolf & Little Dog with Marily August 6 I agree with you Andy. It is slower than necessary when on a good connection, but painful when on a connection too typical when camping. We see a lot of code being sloppily written anymore. No need for it.

Robbie & Alice August 4 When you compare the working capability of RVillage, it is a poor performer compared  to other forums.  ...and Clunky means Clunky.  For instance, try finding the poster who liked your comment....frustrating....way too many screens and wait...  more

Andy F August 5 The irony is a lot of F/T RVers depend on mobile hotspots to get internet connectivity, and bloated sites like this one will chew through your data plan a lot faster if you use it frequently. Admins, I hope you're taking notes!

SouthParkSteve August 19 Might I point out to those of you complaining and comparing RVillage to sites like Amazon and Facebook.....those sites spend literally MILLIONS of dollars on development.  They have entire campuses full of engineers writing code for them, and they ch...  more

Sailor/Rider August 3 Looks much better than what I eat most nights. I have invested in an Instant Pot as my 27-foot long rig has no oven. I hope to learn how to bake some things in it. A number of people I have heard of plug it in through the inverter, put the pot in the sink...  more
