Cowgirl Kathi I used to have cats, big dogs and horses! But only have room for a cat in my little house on wheels. Lilac is the Amazing Traveling Cat -- 10.000 miles in 2 years and not a meow of complaint! Hide 1 Reply

        B. Jones (The Provocative One) Had cats for years. These two have me pretty well trained. The newest one Mickey is a rescue from Yuma. He's doing pretty well but doesn't want to go out on a leash yet.

Cowgirl Kathi I adopted Lilac from Naples Cat Alliance when I lived in Florida. She was a year old and wants NOTHING to do with the harness and leash. But she doesn't try to get out of the motorhome on her own (thank goodness). I have a folding crate that she can spend...  more

        B. Jones (The Provocative One) Mickey doesn't like the harness but will put up with it. SuSu the older cat started out as a kitten leash trained.

Roger Kurland How about summer of 2019?  Just a rough plan.  I'll be leaving from central Florida when Spring arrives and can take either the shorter northern route or the slightly longer southern route to get to the jumping off place.

blheiser That gives me time to give it some serious thought.  I need to do some research because it wasn't on my bucket list.  How long do you think we would be gone?

Roger Kurland If you look up the Alaska tours on Fantasy RV tours they range from 45 to over 80 days!  That doesn't include getting to Seattle.  Note the prices, not a nickel trip.  BTW, what did you do on your hobby farm?  I had one in Southern Mar...  more

blheiser Yeah very pricey, too rich for me plus I am an explorer.  Not much of a tour person. I don't understand about the hobby farm, never had one.  You might have me confused with someone else.

Wayne Moore Make sure you know what you're getting into going to Alaska. Take every spare part you can think of and some you can't. It is still pretty primative in stretches with 100's of miles between services. Safe travels if you head that way.
