Bob Bowles Yes, stopped there on my maiden journey after purchasing my Newell in Palm Desert. It is now one of my lifelong great memories.
It will now be an overnight stop at the very least, every time I journey that highway

Mike and Donna Wagner I does not look like a very safe place to camp. We’ve driven by but never camped there.

Bob Bowles You are right regarding “looks”, and it is not 4 or 5 star resort camping. However, the adventurous soul that I am, I took the plunge and have fantastic memories. The facilities are included in your overnight camping fees.
        Check out their website.

Mike and Donna Wagner Well Bob you have made a believer out of me. We are in Oregon often and we will definitely plan a stop there on our next trip. Thanks for sharing.

I stopped into Desert Hot Springs in Tonopa just west of Phoenix. They had some capability for overnight Camping. 30 amp and water. Pretty Rustic but the water actually is really soft. My skin did feel a little softer after a good soak.

We stopped to check out Montezuma Hot Springs in New Mexico (near Las Vegas, NM).
Pretty and rustic area. But no one was getting in except some dangling feet. Very hot and quite slimy. Maybe it's the time of year?

Chamisa The best hot springs in N. New Mexico are Ojo Caliente.  If you are just going for the springs it's not expensive, especially during the week, $20.  I love the outdoor mud bath.  RV spots available in Taos and the surrounding area. http://o...  more Hide 1 Reply
