      cruisin66 This is for a cast iron Dutch oven. If it's badly coated with old grease etc and you want to start over bury it in a really hot camp fire and it will burn off all the old coating. An alternate would be to put it in an oven during a clean cycle. If extreme...  more Hide 1 Reply

    mix up your favorite meatloaf way. put it on the outside of the dutchoven with a hole in the middle. put potatoes and veggies in the middle and cook until done...  more

      Irvin & Nancy just outside of normal it is good, we have done this with small variations and get compliments on the looks as we use carrot slices on end around  the middle with potato wedges also asparagus standing up in the very center. call it flower meatloaf.

      Scott & Pia I also cook in my DO over an open campfire, I like to use a tripod, and hang the DO on a chain.  This is great for chili, and stew, type recipes.
