Wondering how far south you have to go in Florida for the month of December to have warm (above 60 weather)? Is panhandle area too cold do we need to go down to Tampa or below? We don't need it hot enough to lay on the beach just enjoyable to go golfing. ...  more

Benji It's around 60 as far south as Tampa realize it's a damp 60 so it gets to you much easier. I live in Ormond beach (by Daytona) and below 70 here I can "feel it". While visiting my kids in MN 20 degrees is long sleeve shirt weather because it's dry...

We are looking for an RV resort somewhere near Fort Myers for February 2019. The ones we have already looked at in Fort Myers are either booked or much too crowded. Not opposed to being 25 to 50 miles away. Looking for a place that does not require a mini...  more

Benji State parks may be your only hope. FL has been my home for 13 years and the state is based on tourism and snow birding. The population increases over 40% from October until April. The farther south and west coast are much more expensive but there is a 10-...  more

I also tried yesterday to make a reservation for month of February at your suggested park but was refused because they said 60 night minimum.  I thought the park was a little pricey, but I was willing to pay up considering a...  more

Indy Glenn Note to Jim and anyone else who looked at booking at Oak Grove RV resort. Again my apologies for suggesting a place that does not fit your time duration and rig restriction. I am a seasonal here and not an agent or employee. I was unaware of the 60 day ru...  more

Steve and Kate The only down side is it is out in the middle of no where, cattle farms and orange groves and the poorest of people but 4 grocery stores, restaurants, etc. just not all that much.  35 minutes of Punta Gorda, so maybe 1 hour north or Ft Meyers
