Anyone else here wish Grand Design would have made the garage on their Momentum 376 just a little longer so you could fit kayaks? We love the idea of having a basement garage area that doesn't mess up the living space!

Jon & Sondra Walker No, but we have been there many times.  You are going to see some beautiful part of the country there.  We have taken the train ride and walked the trails around Leadville.  Locals will give you much history of the area if you ask them.

ExploreNorth - Murray & Cathy I've been carrying an 18-foot kevlar canoe with me on most trips, but just bought a cheap 10-foot kayak to play around with (for 1/8th the price of the canoe). In 13 days, I'm on the road for the season, starting with about 10 weeks from Whitehorse to Van...  more

Don and Judith Make sure you stop at Boya Lake. There's a Provincial campground. It's fantastic. We lucked out and got a site right on the water. Kept our kayaks on the shore behind our rig. Check out the HUGH beaver dam.

lizzie We camped there last summer, right on the lake also. I paddled around in the late afternoon and saw a beautiful rainbow.

Was planning on getting two sea kayaks, but it seems everyone has shorter more maneuverable kayaks. Recommendations? I like the idea of going straight and further with each stroke.

Bob & Shirl Thompson I might add, in addition to deciding on the purpose and length, you should think too, how are you going to transport it. A short 10 footer could be put just about anywhere whereas something 16 foot might be a challenge. I have a 12 footer and tow a 5th wh...  more

lizzie I don't have a dog in this fight since I am an open boater. My solo canoe is 12fet long and I find it satisfactory for everything but whitewater. I prefer small, "intimate" streams to lakes and open water but will paddle most anything.

Pat & Katy I have put the boat idea on hold for now, but a great suggestion on the Walmart boat. If I get into back into it, I'll sure consider it. Thanks for the input.
