Just joined RVillage. We spent 19 years in the largest pop-up and just upgraded to a 38' Keystone Outback. First weekend away this coming weekend, though we hope to find a nice seasonal location so we don't have to haul our baby, and can just runaway to...  more

I am having some trouble with the battery disconnect switch where it doesn't always works and seem to have a short in it. Has anyone else had problems with this switch or have you ever replaced one. My rig is a 2014 Mountaineer 358 RLT TIA

Captn John The battery disconnect switch installed on campers is next to worthless. Try your slides and auto-level system, they will probably work with the switch off. The smoke detector, carbon monoxide alarm and other items are always on. Two methods are used...  more

JVBV Probably worth getting checked-out.  If it does have an electrical short with intermittent functionality beyond being a nuisance at times - it could also be a fire hazard when there's large load on the battery, such as when moving slides or jacks. &n...  more

Hello everyone, we had an issue with the awning on our 2017 Laredo 5th wheel. Somehow the screws (6) at the top of the awning along the rail separated from the trailer. We were by Broadmoor RV in Pasco and Scott from the service dept. Was very helpful and...  more

JVBV Any number / combination of reasons could've caused the screws to back-out.  Perhaps they weren't screwed into structure initially,  road vibration, tension from the awning, etc., etc.    RVs falling apart and poor dealer response are ...  more

The Kettles We have basically lost every screw in our Avalanche, some more than once.  The dealer tried to put metal pieces behind some of the screws, didn't help.  Still losing them.

David & Marcia Childers Are you towing with a 1500 level truck? Long drive with that size truck. We just traded and have a F250 with 6.7 diesel. AMAZING! Can hardly tell our 8000 lb. Hideout is behind us! We love it! Safe travels

Pam and Dave We pull the camper with a 2012 Tundra and although it's a great truck, it's not a diesel.  I am sure if we upgrade, it would be amazing.  We are thinking of hauling it to Florida but that sounds like an extremely long ride for the dogs and us.&n...  more

The RVillager There are no set guidelines for managing a group. Basically it's just having fun in the group just like you do in groups you've joined. As the owner of the group, you can change out the cover & thumbnail pics and/or rewrite the description (or purpose) fo...  more

MWort You have to manually fill them by barely stepping on the pedal so water runs in but it does not flush. I also have a 2014 and that is the way it works. If you don't add water it will only have a small amount of water in it.
    • Pam and Dave
Pam and Dave Yes, that's how ours work but sometimes it's frustrating to have to add extra water.  Just wondering if there was anything else but I guess we can deal with it.  Thanks for your response.

Cluculz Lake Duo Try lifting the foot lever "up" after the flush is complete. Many are designed so that you can add water by placing your toe under the lever and lifting up, and water will enter without opening the ball slide.

Everytime I pull my Bullet Premier my thermostat won't work when I get there. Have to pull the cover off and sometimes smack it to get it to work. Anyone else ever have this issue with a keystone?
