Going to take a run up to Flagstaff, AZ in mid-September. Anybody stayed at Ft. Tuthill? Any problem accommodating a 37-ft motor home? Anything good or bad you'd like to report? Current charge is $19 or $20 (depending on where you look) which is about ...  more

David Gundersen Ft Tuthill wasn't fully opened when I tried this past April. No water or sewer as April is out of season. Stayed at Flagstaff KOA. Close to grocery stores and restaurants. Gas stations are plentiful.

Mike and Hyesuk When USAA dropped my MH, I went with Progressive, who USAA hooked us up with. Later shopped a bit and found GEICO was much less expensive and provided excellent service, according to friends.

CC & Van We have Geico,  Have had them for years.      One thing you can count on is they pay out when you have a problem.   Nothing worse than paying for insurance and then having to fight them to pay up when you have a problem.

Finishing our two week stay at Hanscon AFB, MA FamCamp. Great location, close to the T for daily trips to Boston, Minuteman Bikeway access for running and biking and a decent commissary. Too bad the AF charges to swim laps. Be sure to get your book stamped.

David Gundersen Book? What kind of book and its use?
    • Sam Libby (hubby Matt)
Sam Libby (hubby Matt) There is an Army/AF FamCamp Passport Logbook. It’s a frequent camper program. When you join, ($20 when I started) you get a pack and 5 free nights. Each different cg earns you a stamp, every 10 stamps you earn a packet for more free nights.

Stayed at Fairchild Air Force Base the other day. Small campground and the spaces are very close together. Overflow parking had ample room for several vehicles. It would be OK there but I can only give it a 3.
