gypsy ken In responding to a post encouraging people to take some action to show their appreciation for being permitted to park an RV overnight at a WalMart, South Park Steve, it was entirely appropriate for me to state that I do not feel the need to do that. more Hide 2 Replies

gypsy ken The remainder of my post was not posted (the "more" does not work), so I'll post it again.

Hank & Shirleen Bandit455, many states are removing more rest areas then they are putting in or upgrading. We can attest to that as in Louisiana for sure. But other states as well.
      • TurtleGuys
Mike and Donna Wagner Hank is correct, at least in California where many rest stops are closed.

Jim O'Briant I know of more than 50 Walmarts that have changed their Overnight RV Parking policy this year, and we're barely into May.

    • peterjw
Pat The Walmart ONP may be outdated buy it gives you location and phone number so you can find a Walmart that is on your way and call and ask if you can park overnite. Usually they say yes - for one night which is all we need when traveling from one place to another Hide 2 Replies
      • peterjw
Jim O'Briant As of this spring, only about 65% of Walmarts allow Overnight RV Parking.
      • peterjw
peterjw Since the sole purpose of the app is to give info about wether parking is allowed or not if it fails to do that it seems redundant.
