The Hubers- On the Road to What's Next Thousand Trails:
March 27, 2019The $2 per package fee at several TT resorts is getting to be very cumbersome. We had an order coming in from Amazon, who split the shipment into 3 boxes, meaning we had to come up with another 6 bucks (I only had $5 on me). Grrr.

Tom & Laura Boden’s Adventures March 27, 2019 Wow knew about the nickel and dime deal not happy about but it seem like its a West coast thing. And as far as it being put in an Envelope and them not accepting it is a little ridiculous....

WDK450 March 27, 2019 Whenever possible have stuff shipped to Your Name, General Delivery, Nearest Post Office and Zip code. I used this a lot for E-Bay and Amazon shipments. You will have to go to that post office to pick up your packages, but it will be free. PS - Mak...  more

The Hubers- On the Road to What's Next March 27, 2019 We tried that, then Amazon shipped it Fedex anyway and it was refused.  After the 3rd time we stopped trying General Delivery.

Bill Joyce (and wife Diane Melde) March 27, 2019 We try to use Amazpn lockers but they are not always convenient.  For example, from TT Verde Valley the closest was Whold Foods in Sedona.

The Hubers- On the Road to What's Next March 27, 2019 Most of the time, the items we want don't have the Lockers as an option.  It lets us choose Amazon Locker as the shipping option, but no Lockers are available for those items.

Jon & Sue W March 30, 2019 They’re not charging “for” packages. They’re charging for the “service” of getting them to you (or keeping them until you pick them up. Still sucks but nothing the PO can do.

WDK450 March 30, 2019 Nothing you can really rely on with the Fedex/USPS deal. I HAVE seen FEDEX trucks delivering to small USPS offices, and FEDEX mailboxes in front of the P.O.'s I have had the tracking for stuff say (recently) it was being turned over to USPS for delivery. ...  more

Abraham & Eli Solomon A Faithful Jew!!!!!! March 30, 2019 This is why we need to stand together, TT location are not forced charge or deny your USPS. I think they should charge a flat monthly fee for all packages. The Averge per year will be worth it to them. I pay $100.00 a year for iPostal1 to tak...  more

Andy F March 31, 2019 So keep your measly $2 and have your mail sent General Delivery. TT is a business, they don't have to accept your mail at all. Period. Be glad that tiny $2 fee is saving you a trip to the post office. Think of it as a tip for the courtesy of them handling...  more

The Hubers- On the Road to What's Next March 31, 2019 Like I said, General Delivery doesn't work either, as the post office will not accept Fedex or UPS from Amazon and we have no control over what carrier they use.  I understand it's a business, but it's also a change of business practices that's irrit...  more

Andy F March 31, 2019 Jack, have you considered that their "change of business practices" has been necessitated by the change in consumer buying practices? A decade ago Amazon Prime didn't exist, now people just sit back in the comfort of their home (or RV) and click away know...  more

The Hubers- On the Road to What's Next March 31, 2019 Fine, then communicate the change.  Sorry that you don't agree with me, but I'm okay to leave it at that.

WDK450 March 31, 2019 Another alternative is to have your stuff shipped to the local UPS (shipping) store. But then you have to pay the UPS store for ($2 I think) for receiving your package.
