August 18, 2019I watched a few YouTube videos about water filters for RV water and they were quite alarming as they talked about mold/sickness etc. What type of filters do you use and what success have you had?

AFSteVet August 18, 2019 I've used the standard filter you can buy off the shelf at WalMart for over 25 years, I started RVing in 93, and never had a problem. It's an inline filter and is as easy to install as connecting the hose to your rig when at a camp that provides water. I'...  more

Jamesezell2000 August 18, 2019 I used Tastepure XL inline water filter when I first started out. Worked great, but when they’re done, they shut off and things like that never happen at a good time. I’ve upgraded to a HydroLife 200 water filter since then and had no real complaints. Bot...  more

LindaLee79 August 18, 2019 Shari the Berkey was highly recommended. Where do you keep it when it is in use?
    • LindaLee79
ShariB August 18, 2019 We have an undermount sink and it sits happily on the back of sink with spigot in sink. Could easily sit on counter edge though. I love ours!

LindaLee79 August 18, 2019 Thank you Shari; My counter is tiny but I guess I could set it on the table when not on the road.

Andy & Maureen T August 19, 2019 We use: Camco Evo Water Filter. So glad to see that you are concerned about the water you drink...not many people are concerned. Don't forget...when you first arrive, at your camp site, let the water run for a couple of minutes before hooking up....  more

MJ&RJ August 20, 2019 Amazon sells them in multiples. Just remember to THROW THEM OUT after the season is done. That’s where you will get mold and other things growing. Stagnant warm water is not your friend. Make sure the ones you get will filter out guiardia and specific pathogens

Andy & Maureen T October 21, 2019 Please DO NOT let anyone tell you that you do not need one. Also, you should check with the campground if they do water testing by an independent lab.  We use a  " Camco Evo Premium Water Filter." &nbs...  more
