August 22, 2019Greetings, new to RV'ing and purchasing my first trailer. Did the study for options/specs and got the one I wanted. Now going in on final walk through. I would appreciate any tips on what I should look for in the inspection process before final signing.

John David (US TOUR ONE) August 23, 2019 Check the date on the tires. Anything older than 7 years is "iffy". Freedom RV in Tucson, AZ. Put 2 different sizes on mine. I had a blowout every 1,000 miles before Les Schwab spotted the problem. Freedom RV still hasn't told me if they're going to p...  more

Bob & Shirl Thompson August 23, 2019 I’d try and get manuals on every thing installed for future reference and ditto on the inspection. Make sure everything works and HOW it works.

GTOpatz August 23, 2019 I’ve seen and heard on YouTube videos clunking is ok on glides my next question is how much is ok. The TT I’m getting is having one repaired and realigned. Is this a common repair and should I expect to have to have it done again?

John David (US TOUR ONE) August 23, 2019 I had a Winabago whose 8' slider had two iddy-biddy screw motors with teeth that looked like digital sine waves; they looked weak and one finally broke. Camping World wanted $385 to change it out. I found a used motor, on-line for $25 and changed it out m...  more

Sldeems August 24, 2019 You will get overwhelmed with all the instructions.  Make the person SHOW you, not just tell you.  We didn’t demonstrate raising the stabilizing jacks, and I got out the first time and realized they threw in the wrong tool, would have known if w...  more

Kevin & Leslie August 24, 2019 Unplug the power and look for scorching on the cord and connectors. Check AC filters. If they are dirty, the cleaner overlooked other things also. Look for fresh tape on the belly under the RV. Could be an indication the repair...  more
