J&A Demitrus September 16, 2019 What happens if you don’t winterize and you don’t use it all winter? Then you run the risk of damaging your lines. Better safe than sorry.

David & Leslie & Jasper September 16, 2019 Your son must turn up the thermostat when he gets up, eh? If your area doesn't normally experience a hard freeze and stays above 15F to 20F overnight but warms to the 40sF during the daylight hours, then winterizing isn't necessary ex...  more

Warren Todd September 16, 2019 Here is what I would do if I were living in or near the Atlanta area. We live in a northern climate where we winterize in November through March. We drain all of the water lines and blow them out. We add 6 to 7 gallons of RV antifreeze to our system. Yes,...  more

Andy & Maureen T September 16, 2019 Are you willing to take the chance that the weather will stay ok. We have been experiencing some strange weather. Remember, all it takes is for one cold snap to freeze a water line.

Jenna & The ZARGON September 16, 2019 Yo! Linda,  I kinda lean in your direction.  I'm in Decatur and lately, it just dosen't get below freezing for long enough to do any damage.  Having said that... I would try and drain all the waterlines completely if you know it might get b...  more

MJ&RJ September 16, 2019 Hello from frosty Kamloops BC Canada 🇨🇦. What are your temperatures down there in January and February?? If they often reach below zero then we would be winterizing your RV. The risk of freezing and having to repair is too great then. Are there chances...  more

Jim & Sharon Ham September 16, 2019 We go thru Atlanta on our annual snowbird trip to Florida.  We have experienced snow, ice, and freezing weather, so we think you need to plan ahead and use antifreeze or air pressure.  It is possible to use the low-point drain on the system and ...  more

charles formby September 17, 2019 Worry about the items you don't see: under bed water pump, under sink water filter, water tank? And many more, this is winteriz the unit. Don't take a chance to just drain hot water, and water. Go a little farther for your on protection. Just saying

Friction between your LP Tank and Tank Rack can degrade the protective finish and allow rust to form. This rust can destroy your tank rack and even transfer to critical surrounding components of your RV. Rack Saver is a pressure-sensitive, self-gluing gasket that covers the lip of any LP tank to prevent corrosion caused by metal-to-metal contact. Installs in just minutes!
