I'm unable to join you all on the road due to some family commitments, so I'm spending more time in the planning phase before I go full time. Do you have some favorite travel apps I can check out? I use tripadvisor and yelp already. Are there other ones I need to know about? Thanks for saving me from my winter boredom. I'm dreaming of warmer places and interesting destinations, and of course joining everyone here for a meetup one day!

You can plan many different trips or legs of a trip and it is all saved online, so you can use multiple devices. less

Check out Roadtrippers! It's a free site where you can find cool stuff to do along your way. They also have a paid Plus account that gives you more stuff. RVillage Gold Level members get 20% off Roadtrippers Plus

Roadtrippers is a cool site. I copy articles on interesting places and save them in my state-by-state database for future reference when planning to visit that state.

Before going full time I'd spend my winters searching this site for things I'd like to see. Then come spring my cat and I hit the road. I did three cross country trips searching out the sites that interested me and in doing so they dictated my route taking me along the beautiful back roads of our country, small towns and places I would not have seen otherwise. less

I love Roadtrippers but I first use Radius On Map. It gives me an idea of how far I’ll get; say 300-350 miles a day. It’s user friendly. You adjust the distance. A great visual for preparation.

We use allstays after paying the $10 fee. It’s ok but notice most reviews are really old. We may explore others that have replied to your post. Good luck and safe travels

It’s hard to beat the current info here on the RVillage Park Pages - providing our members will use the ability to post right on each page. The more people do that the more we all benefit. ~Donna

It does almost everything in one package. Routing is excellent and will only route you on roads your coach will fit on (you input dimensions), It will show you where a travel day (you set the time/distance parameter) will take you, when you need to be thinking of fuel and where it is. You can let it show you stopping alternatives screened for whatever your preferences are. then it will provide descriptions, links to reviews and to the website to book if that is your preference. Hmm they ought to send me a fee for puffing their product but I am nothing more than a happy user - just used it to route a cross country from Rochester NY to Temecula CA with many side trips. We belong to Passport America, Days End Directory, Elks, and others - NO commercial cg chains. less

I've been using Ultimate Campgrounds lately and liking it. Also, check out CampsitePhotos.com They recommend specific sites and give you pics of the sites.

It Among the many features that have been added since I started usin RVTripWizard is that I can now get the website of a park that I am considering, and reviews by [eople that have stayed there, without having to leave RVTripWizard. A feature I've not used, but am considering using, is keeping track of all costs. And I can send my itinerary to others so that we may arrange a meeting - or even just respond to friends and relatives when they ask "Where have you been?" or "Where are you going?" This information can be supplied in list form, spreadsheet form, or, if they also have RVTripWizard, just as it is in my computer with them also being able to perform the same functions that I have. Trips can be copied, amended, revised, etc. less
