Just a newbie here, have the RV and we are learning all about getting out there. I feel the need to be free and have a lot of questions. We have been visiting camping sites for starters. My biggest concern is how to earn a living whilst we are RV'ing. Anyone have any suggestions? Currently working a steady job but dying to be free and on my own schedule.

Workamping is where you trade all or some of your time in exchange for a free site, or some combination thereof. There are possibilities with campgrounds, concessionaires in the national parks, and even companies like Amazon hire seasonal workers who are RVers (they call it the Amazon Camperforce). The web site www.workamper.com has a lot of good resources with videos, etc., to explain how it works. They also offer listings of companies who frequently hire workampers, but to access specific job listings, you do have to subscribe to their site.
Another web site for workamper type jobs is www.CoolWorks.com. They have job categories, and one of those is "Jobs with RV Spaces". They also offer a lot of other options in resorts, national and state parks, etc. The good news is, the site is free.
For remote jobs (regular jobs, but where you don't have to work from an office, etc.), I really like www.FlexJobs.com. You can browse jobs on that site for free, but to get contact info, etc., you do have to subscribe.
Another site that I just heard about here on RVillage is www.RatRaceRebellion.com. I have only looked around on it a little, so I can't give you much of a review....but it does look intriguing.
Of course, you can also go to the more traditional job boards like Indeed.com or Monster.com and type in "remote" as one of your key words, but you will end up sifting through a lot more unrelated jobs there.
Also, if you are a member of Escapees/Xscapers (www.xscapers.com), they have a job board on their site for members, although it is a fairly new feature, so does not have a TON of listings yet......
Just a few ideas to hopefully help you get started..... less
