April 18, 2020Okay, so I'm usually good at puzzling things out, but this has me stumped. I know it's got something to do with the sewer hose, but can't figure out exactly what it is and how it works. Help a girl out?

pokeysRVadventures April 18, 2020 It looks like a sewer hose but if it is I've never seen one like it. Did you buy it?

ozarkcat April 18, 2020 Came with the unit from a private party sale. I'm spending the day trying to puzzle what I need to get in to get it fully functional.

Tim & Jan April 18, 2020 It's a RV sewage holding tank macerator pump. Look up the manufacturer and Google it. You can also see how it works from YouTube videos.

Grosser Family April 18, 2020 I have one of these, works great! Here's a video on the general use. YouTube has a bunch of different videos from users on it.

David Leslie Jasper & JoJo April 18, 2020 It's probably a water-powered macerator as opposed to an electro-mechanical macerator.  A strong stream of water coming from the hose attachment breaks up the large solids into small enough solids to fit through the blue-lined hose.

wevchozen April 18, 2020 So what is the consensus for this item; thumb up or thumb down?????

Connie G. April 18, 2020 We had one and it was really great. The hose comes so clean and doesn't have all those ridges to trap little pieces of paper and other nasty little items.

Dream Chaser April 19, 2020 Had one for several years now and it is great.  Does a great job of back flushing the system.

Grosser Family April 19, 2020 Definitely great! My clean out line at my house is about 53 feet from my RV and a little uphill. This works as advertised and no issues.
