Dave Butler May 12 Wow! Glad it passed by and left you safe. Have been through a similar situation on the Natchez Trace but at least the bathrooms were open. Not an ideal spot but at least it was a brick sh*thouse and safer than the RV.

Cinn May 12 Yikes! Tornadoes definitely scare me more than earthquakes. Glad you're safe!

Bryan& Charlene May 12 We are also from CA. When we were there during the winter there were 3-4 earthquakes. Nothing severe and hardly noticed. Tornadoes scare us, too. We took a northern route on this trip cross country to avoid that area of the country.

CandaceRivero May 12 Foul weather is never fun. In an RV, boat or mobile home. Always good to stay current and prepared for "what if". I use 4 different weather apps to check out potential foul weather ahead.

Paul & Kay Legare May 12 This looks like a good time to mention the value of a decent stand alone weather radio. Phone apps may not have cell signal. That said there are places with no radio signal as well.

BLSMSS May 12 We were told to go into the laundry house when we had ours. Some places we were at wouldn’t allow us to go in anything. We usually are Northeast now, but not

wannabervin May 13 Ever since I was a little kid and watched the Wizard of Oz, I’ve been terrified of tornadoes. And growing up in the northeast, had no experience to “normalize” that concern. Had a warning a few months ago in Destin FL and went to the laundry. We were the...  more

BLSMSS May 13 We are from Upstate NY, when my kids were little, we actually had a small tornado 2 miles from my house. I was a Firemen and CFR so had to leave my kids with my mom to go help. The only one I know of around where I use to live. You be careful, it’s hurric...  more
