J and AWhy didn't I think of that? Tips and Tricks:
June 20Does anyone have any tips on how to clean those black lines on the underside of your RV awning? I bought Thetford awning cleaner and used it very generously and it didn’t do a thing. Any suggestions are so greatly appreciated!!!!

Dan&Jo June 23 Yes, we love the Mr Clean Magic Eraser, only problem we have is that it's an expensive 'per use' item. The cost vs the amount of use, if very little works great, if a bigger area way to expensive. So we've mixed up Mean Green and use a regular Scotch-Brit...  more

Rick & Lil June 20 Another tip is; if you can, after each rain event, open the awning to let it dry thoroughly. If it's clean & dry there is no (or less) dirt to sit and ferment (stain) the awning. Wiping it dry with an expandable  painters handle and flat cloth mop wi...  more

Don Estey June 21 I do a few things. First I clean them off with spray nine and wash the spray nine off. Then I wax or treat the area with a protector to prevent them from adhering to the rv again. I wash the roof regularly to prevent them from coming ba...  more

Dan&Jo June 21 We used Mean Green Cleaner it's concentrated and makes gallons of cleaner for pretty much everything for less than $5.00 from Walmart. First use tremendously lightened the black streaks on ours, a couple weeks later the second wash pretty much removed the...  more

BrianNTina June 21 We always used water with blue dawn and just a shot if bleach. Scrub it on while it’s extended, really soak it, roll it in for a little, extend it and wash it all off.

YooperinAK June 26 So I use this stuff called Bar Keepers Friend to clean iron water stains from my home shower. Not sure what effects it would have on the surface to be cleaned but it doesn’t hurt shower and it cleans unbelievably. Just google it.
