Jmdumont RV's and Instant Pots :
July 10, 2020Hi I’m new to the group and I actually don’t have an instapot yet. I’m trying to decide if I should buy one since it’s just me. Any thoughts on them. I assume you must like them (hence the group) but what is it that makes them so good? 😀

L.D.Clark July 10, 2020 I live alone also and have a 3 quart. So quick and easy to make a delicious meal. I don’t like to make large quantities, also take from frozen to the table in45 minutes or less. So many recipes and tenderize’s meat so quick. 😎

Phyl & Bob July 10, 2020 We also have a 3 qt. It is plenty big for the 2 of us. Like the size and have purchased some accessories for it. The pans and egg bite molds are small, but still work well.

Robbie & Alice July 10, 2020 I like the 6 quart.  Nice to be able to freeze leftovers, and most recipes are set to the 6 quart size.

Travelinlady July 10, 2020 I love the foodi because it does everything the IP does and more, pressure cook, dehydrate, air fry, broil, bake all in one pot.

Adirondack Adventurers July 10, 2020 I have the 8 quart Instant Pot with air fryer in our new RV. I bought it because it will eliminate me having to use our very small oven. I just roasted a whole chicken in it and it came out delicious and so moist. I use it for bacon and vegetables to...  more

Mike and Donna Wagner July 10, 2020 We love our InstantPot so much we bought a second one to leave in the motor home so we don’t have to worry about forgetting to load it from the house when we take a trip. It’s so easy to cook very healthy and delicious food very quickly. Of course it does...  more

Mike and Donna Wagner July 10, 2020 We recently bought the air fryer top for the InstantPot. We now have discovered how extremely delicious and healthy air fried foods are. Chicken - the best we have ever had by any cooking method. We will no longer use the propane grille we have on our por...  more

Jmdumont July 11, 2020 I’ll have to look into an air top fryer as well. Thanks for the tips

Bruce & Linda (Omnibus) July 10, 2020 If you like to cook starting with dried beans, that is all the reason you need to get an Instant Pot or Ninja Foodie.  Once you have it, and access to a group like this, the rest will become quickly apparent.  :-)  We have a 3 qt and a 6 qt...  more

LarandSus July 10, 2020 Yep, we have both too. For me, the 6 qt was too big for convenience in the RV.

Donna&Rand July 10, 2020 I have 3 Instant Pots. 1 six qt at our place at Lake Royale, 1 six qt at our place in Myrtle Beach & a 3 qt in our camper. I love it! I especially love it for hard boiled eggs & fluffy moist baked potatoes. I use it for many other meals including chili & ...  more

Bruce & Linda (Omnibus) July 10, 2020 PS - An Instant Pot (or equivalent) will also lead you in the direction of "one pot" meals.  Easy breasy lemon squeezy with less clean up afterwards.

Lisa’s Fabulous Adventure July 10, 2020 I have a 3 quart, I use it 4 -5 days a week. It will replace all your cooking requirements and you can get recipe books for the 3 quart size no problem.

Andre & Henny July 10, 2020 We have a 3L unit. There r many recipes you can find on the Internet! If I forget to take something out of the freezer I grab a few frozen chicken breast and add your extras and cook for 20 min. It’s quick and clean up is easy !

L.D.Clark July 10, 2020 Jmdumont I think we all agree you should have one 😁😎.

Momdoc July 11, 2020 Depending on your storage and weight limits you might want to look at the Ninja Foodie.  We started with an Instant pot (loved it) but gave it away and got the Ninja.  It does the functions of the Instant Pot but it is also a very good air fryer.

Canadian Hellie July 11, 2020 I don't have the Ninja Foodie; but I've heard very good comments about them.  I have 2, 6 quart Instant Pots and love them.  There's oodles of recipes online, even though I bought a cookbook.  Once you start using it; you'll adapt your favo...  more

Jmdumont July 11, 2020 I’m never organized enough to have meat un-thawed so cooking straight from the freezer would be good 😀

Jmdumont July 12, 2020 I found a 6 quart instapot of Kijiji ( like your Craig’s list) so I bought it. I got it home and realized she didn’t give me the instructions book 🙄
