car2ner Why didn't I think of that? Tips and Tricks:
August 30, 2020We would like to mount our Garmin GPS to top of the dash of our motorhome. The suction cup won't work and I really want to avoid making holes in the dash by screwing it down. Anyone have any clever ideas that worked for them?

Suzan and Art August 30, 2020 We found that it moved around on the dash.  Depends, I guess, on how flat your dash is.

Joy Petnut August 30, 2020 I bought a weighted stand from Amazon and it hasn't moved at all. Maybe put some velcro under the stand so it helps to keep it from moving.

Debbie and Larry August 30, 2020 Weighted stand, then we have this under it, I don't think ours is this brand, but you will get the idea. I have cut this up and it is under the coffee pot as well.

bill4029 August 30, 2020 I use a small sand bag base, but added a silicone sticky pad between this and the dash.. this totally makes the GPS stay in place. I think I purchased at a truck stop or similar. They are pretty common.

Robbie & Alice August 30, 2020 We use the weighted sandbag too with one of those sticky pads underneath.
