Kevin/Yvonne & 4 Doxies September 12, 2020 A big question! What kind of freezing weather are you talking. Hovering around freezing doesn!t require as much as single or low double digits weather.

Kevin/Yvonne & 4 Doxies September 13, 2020 Will it only be one night or longer. Is you rig 4 season?🤠😎🙂

SouthParkSteve September 13, 2020 It depends a LOT on your rig.  For example, if the dump valves are exposed under your coach, you do NOT have a 4 season camper.  If you try to use them during freezing weather, you will end up with what we UNaffectionately call a "poopsicle".&nb...  more

SteveandAileen September 13, 2020 Heated fresh water hose. We have propane furnaces below and it heats our wet bay. Maybe someone else can suggest how you keep your pipes warm.

GaleS September 13, 2020 I have a non-4 season travel trailer and have camped in freezing weather without pipe problems but I had tank heaters installed for cold weather to keep my tanks from freezing. Either a DIY or purchased heated hose is a must. When it's really cold I open ...  more

Jim & Sharon Ham September 13, 2020 The answer varies a great deal depending on where your RV plumbing lines are located, and the outside temp and how long it stays below freezing.  If you are using the RV and have electric heat or propane furnace running, and it dips down to 20 degree...  more

SouthParkSteve September 13, 2020 I don't recommend letting water drip, because that water has to go somewhere.  That same drip in your sink becomes a drip in the grey water hose....which is not enough moving volume to keep it from freezing.  Then, each additional drip freezes, ...  more

MariaRent September 13, 2020 The dump valves are covered inside a compartment I'm thinking boondocking for about 4 days and if the weather freezes that's kind of what I would like to.plan ahead.

Jim & Sharon Ham September 13, 2020 Unless your rig has solar panels and a big lithium battery bank, you would not be able to last 4 days boondocking without electric hookup in freezing temps.  Batteries lose capacity the colder they get.   The colder it gets outside, the mor...  more

Jim & Sharon Ham September 13, 2020 Having the dump valves inside a compartment helps a little because you can either duct some furnace heat in there, or put a light bulb (not LED) to give a little warmth.  Are you looking for camping in the occasional 20 to 32 degree range, or consist...  more

Marsha & Matthew September 15, 2020 It's not often we are in freezing weather but when we are we use a 300 watt light bulb on in that compartment over night. Had our water filter freeze and break once and guy at rv place we wnt to get new 1 told us to do rhis. Never had a problem since.
