November 17, 2020New to RVing - where can we take our Class C to wash it? We store it when not in use but are looking in our home base area for a place to wash. Do truck stops provide?

WeekendRamblers1 (Tammy1 & Larry2) November 17, 2020 We don’t have that option so we are looking for a place that would offer that service. We did find an overnight campsite in Meridian, MS that offered that service. Picked up lots of bugs on the last trip.

SouthParkSteve November 17, 2020 Some of the coin-op self-serve car washes have bays on one outside wall, so that you are not constrained by the height if needed.  There is also a company called Blue Beacon that has truck washes all over the US, and I believe they wash RVs as well.

Galway's November 17, 2020 Look into Blue Light wash service at truck stops.  Usually cost about 40 dollars for my 40 foot Class A.

Cruisrte66 November 17, 2020 Some truck stops have truck washes. 44 for my 39' fifth wheel and truck!!

Al & Wendy November 17, 2020 We have a service that comes to us. Uses their own water etc. You can check with Campi g World or LA Mesa to see if there is anyone near you.

MotorcyclesRiders November 17, 2020 When on the road, we also have used the coin-up self washes after checking the height of the bay with success. At several campgrounds, we have seen mobile detailing (wash &wax) coming to your site.

Jim & Sharon Ham November 17, 2020 We have found some of the "wand" car washes have equipment mounted on the end of the building and therefore are open for washing a tall vehicle with no overhead building or equipment.  The price is just like a regular car wash, with most accepting a credi...  more

Cinn November 17, 2020 Look for a Blue Beacon truck wash nearby, they are pros and not expensive: https://bluebeacon.com/view-all-locations/

Diana & Michael November 17, 2020 Does a local private campground near you have a Facebook page for residents to communicate? It may not be run by the RV park, but the office staff will know. If so handymen and RV detailers may advertise there.

WanderingSomeMore November 18, 2020 We have used Blue Beacon with positive outcomes!

Andy & Maureen T November 18, 2020 At home base, look for a truck wash. On the road, your best bet is a mobile wash. Blue Beacon is great.

AL AND CLAUDETTE WORTMAN November 18, 2020 Blue Beacon are fast and reasonable price. Used the one outside Memphis.

Tim & Crista November 18, 2020 Often times there are mobile folks that will come to your site when you are in a park and wash it for you. You can sit in your easy chair with a cool beverage and watch the work get done.👍🏻

Wild Wonderful Wanderers November 25, 2020 It's going to depend on your location. My home base had nothing but a couple car washes that had truck bays for me to do a self wash. No one, and I mean no one at my home location did RV's. Where we're at now there are literally yard signs and ads for RV ...  more
