November 18, 2020Just bought this today from Tractor Supply Co. We are boondocking in southern Virginia in December and needed some heat. Had to really shop around for the Mr. Heater Big Buddy with the blower. Apparently you can only get them from Walmart and Tractor S...  more

Todd & Liz November 18, 2020 Hopefully it's not too much for us. It has three settings (low, med, high) so I am thinking we will be good on low for the most part :) We have a Class C with the boys sleeping above the cab and my husband and I in the back. We'll see in a few weeks!

ArticTravelers November 19, 2020 We have both and the big one is the one we use all the time. The small propane can didn’t seem to last long so we bought an adapter and hooked it up to a 5 gallon tank. On low the tank would last almost 5 days! Love the Mr.Buddy ohhhh we never did use the...  more

Ted&Sharon November 19, 2020 Good job hunting for the one with the blower.  We have one with a blower too, but we got it when all the Big Buddy heaters had blowers.  It works great to warm us up in the mornings.  We do not leave it on when we are sleeping though.  I plumbed in a quic...  more

Cinn November 19, 2020 What powers the blower? Batteries? Or do you need to plug it in?

Ted&Sharon November 19, 2020 The fan works on "D" cell batteries, or you can purchase a plug-in adapter that will work if you have 110V power available.

ANNIENDON November 20, 2020 One thing to consider when using auxiliary heat whether an electric or gas heater particularly in below freezing temperatures is the fact that an RV, like a larger mobile home usually have their water pipes, hot water heater and storage tanks located in s...  more

Chuck (N7CHS) Berry November 24, 2020 We found that Mr. Buddy created fumes  that gave us both headaches, even with a window cracked open.  A friend showed us his Blue Flame heater in his coach. I immediately could tell that this unit didn't smell anything like Mr. Buddy.  I tapped into the p...  more

ANNIENDON November 24, 2020 We have one similar, bought it years ago when building our home and used it to heat a large area we lived in while working on the rest.  No fumes at all.  Still using it in one of our outbuildings!  Bought it 20 years ago and it is still working fine.

d.slater1103 November 26, 2020 I'm confused. Why not just use the propane heater that the coach came with?
