Traveling Tarps December 13, 2020 We have a residential fridge.....so I may not be the best one to answer.   But based on what I understand about the Norcold units, they operate on 12VDC or propane.  I wouldn’t expect to find V110AC at the board.

Wncol December 13, 2020 Yah, rv refrigerators, absorption type like domestic or norcold. That board runs on 12 volt dc that way the refrigerator can operate when your not connected to shore power.

Reality124 December 13, 2020 12v is for the control board and the propane runs the frig. Unless you have a unit that runs electric or propane (still needs 12v for the control board on propane).

Joe and Lori December 13, 2020 Where did you find the dinosaur board for the fridge? I have to figure out how to find one. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Trailerite December 13, 2020 Not sure if Dinosaur boards are sold on Amazon. I think so, but you can always go to the Dinosaur Electronics website to check out the exact application. I used mine for the Atwood hot water heater. It was a great fit and has worked fine for the last y...  more

Joe and Lori December 13, 2020 Trailerite, I just changed the board on our Atwood with a dinosaur board I got on Amazon. I looked on their site can't find the fridge (N8XF) listed. Jeanette & Emery Leraand December 13, 2020 It is not really polite to call it a no cold. The accepted polite term is "Nevercold"

rvericksons December 13, 2020 Yes, that was mostly older 2000 to 2008 models. If u have one of that age be sure to check, as there have been MANY FIRES and several DEATHS!

Keith and Shirley December 13, 2020 Norcold reefers operate on 12V, 120 V, or propane.  The 120 volts power a heating element installed in the same area as the propane flame.  The 2 door Norcolds have 2 heating elements.  The heaters are controlled by a 12V relay on the main control board. ...  more

Joe and Lori December 13, 2020 Mine went into a 35-50 day defrost cycle then lol. If there's a retay on the board I'm thinking that's it (my problem). I tapped and tapped on " things" the other day and waaa-laa it started working again.

TeamFoxy December 14, 2020 Both Norcold and Dometic publish service manuals on their websites, as do the makers of most RV appliances. The manuals have troubleshooting sections and I have diagnosed and fixed many issues myself over the years as well as doing the routine maintenance...  more

Joe and Lori December 14, 2020 Got the manual with the unit. Problem was my fridge had no blinking lights or codes which made it harder to figure out what direction to go. Ended up talking with a mobile repairman in the keys and he gave me a few pointers to look at. The last time the f...  more
