February 15Well, as prepared as we thought we were, we have temps at -1 currently and even with heated hose, a space heater in the water pump compartment, and cupboards open we have frozen lines somewhere. No leaks and no broken lines. Any suggestions?

Joe and Lori February 15 Be careful taking that first step. I just realized that's your door bottom pushing the snow.

Bandit455 February 15 Unfortunately you may not know the true condition of your plumbing until the thaw. On the plus side, PEX will expand some so you have some leeway there. Good luck. Also, using space heaters is fine but leave some of the work for the furnace. The heating s...  more

John And Debbie Maxson February 15 Sounds like you did what you could for protection unfortunately it is brutal. I wouldn’t even try to use your pump at this point till it warms up. If you can get out in your toad buy water for now. Did you drain your lines and leave faucet open?

Becca Ray February 15 For safety/to hopefully prevent freeze/expansion damage for a short term freeze (couple days with all temps below 30 degrees): Turn off water at city water spigot and keep your fresh water/on board water tank water pump off-both until you get back to 40 d...  more

MartiL February 15 What a great idea!  Covering windows with a blanket or towels.  I'm at a place near a hwy that is rather noisy - a lot of night traffic.  Maybe the same during the day, but I don't hear it then.  I think I will try that to "deaden" the noise.

Dan-n-Jo February 16 When we travel to a RV park near a roadway, we usually turn our a/c fan to on so that it runs all night long. It helps drown out the road noises by making white noise in te background. Best of luck, God bless.

Dan-n-Jo February 16 You did everything I can think of to avoid it, now to get them thawed out. We used a few of those old fashioned extension cords with the work lights and halogen bulbs in compartments and underneath to help warm them. That seemed to work when ours froze u...  more
