    February 25, 2021I was looking into installing a tankless water heater run by propane. Someone said I would go through my propane like mad if I did. Anyone have any experience with this?

      jim roulston February 25, 2021 You will only be using propane when using hot water. If you use twice the hot water than you will use more propane.

        Joy Petnut February 26, 2021 Yes, I know that. He seemed to think the tankless water heater would eat up more than the usual amount of propane for heating water.

      MochaUSA February 25, 2021 Our Aqua Go has a “normal” setting and an “eco” setting. On Normal it will burn propane to keep water hot and ready all the time. On “eco” it will only start heating water when a hot water faucet is running. In Normal hot water will get to the faucet fast...  more

      Keith Ward and Charlene Ward February 25, 2021 We have a Giraard II tankless for the last 1-1/2 years and haven’t noticed any increase in propane usage. Actually probably less.

      TeamFoxy February 26, 2021 We have a propane only water heater and turn it on about 10 minutes before using it and off when done. Full time using stove and hot water we use 3 gal per month. Add in heat and we go to 11-12 gal per month.

        bigman2x4x8 February 26, 2021 BEST MONIES I EVER SPENT ON MY DUTCH STARS. We use less propane and mommy gets to take her long showers in HOT water. Only thing bad I have found is the top temp of the water is 127degrees. Safety and all.    LOVE IT!!!!!
